According to the data in the text, there are two charging piles for every five vehicles, indicating that China has around forty million electric vehicles in total.
]]>The total amount of energy 8b kWh monthly translates into 1b km travelled which is less than 40m km a day. If there are 80m EVs ( 5×16) that means on average each gets power from these chargers of less than 0.5km travel a day. As I estimate the real average travel perhaps 100 times this eg 50km a day, that means these chargers provide about 1% of the electricity with presumably the rest from home charging and swap stations.
